Halloween template printable: invites, signs and party sheets

Halloween printables divide neatly into things you hand out and things you hang up. Invitations and favour tags are small, print several to a sheet and cost almost nothing. Signs, backdrops and table runners are large, dark and heavy on ink, and they look far better on card than on copy paper.

Dark backgrounds are the thing to watch. A black invitation that looks striking on screen can come out of a home printer streaked and still damp. Templates that put the artwork on a light ground with dark type give a more reliable result, and they are kinder to anyone printing at home after a buyer downloads the file.

Before you download

  1. Plan the dark pieces for card stock; copy paper buckles under heavy coverage.
  2. Lay invitations out several to a page before printing — most templates allow it.
  3. If you sell the file, say in the listing which pages are ink-heavy; it cuts the questions.
